AI marketing agency

Put AI to work in your marketing, without losing your brand's personality.

Your team can use AI for almost anything now. As an AI marketing agency, we help you figure out where it should be used, where it shouldn't, and how to set it up so the work gets faster and your brand still sounds like you.

By the numbers

Ambition is running ahead of readiness

Almost every company uses AI now. Very few feel ready for it.

88%

of organizations use AI in at least one business function, up from 78% a year earlier.

70%

of CMOs say becoming an AI leader is a critical goal.

30%

say their AI readiness is mature.

That gap is where most of the mistakes happen. Teams buy tools before they have a plan, publish whatever comes back, and find out later that customers noticed.

Led by a marketer who has spent three years testing AI

Emulent AI is the AI practice of Emulent Digital Marketing, run by founder Bill Ross. Bill has almost 20 years in SEO, content and web strategy, and for close to three years he has run marketing tests on the most widely used AI platforms, on their most advanced models. Brands he has helped grow include Nissan, AT&T, Budweiser, Infiniti, Moen, HP and PwC.

Sound familiar?

You've seen the posts.

"I used AI to write all my content and traffic went up 200%."
"I fired my team and run the business with AI now."
"One prompt replaced our whole SEO strategy."

Take them with a grain of salt. We test these claims for a living, and the results rarely survive contact with a real brand, a real budget or a Google update.

Your customers are paying attention

Marketers are all in on AI. Customers are not so sure. In a March 2026 Gartner survey, 50% of U.S. consumers said they'd rather buy from brands that don't use generative AI in their content, and 68% said they often wonder whether the content in front of them is real.

Efficiency you gain can turn into trust you lose. We help you get the first without paying for it with the second.

What AI does well, and where it needs a person

Going to AI

AI is very good at repeatable work you can check:

First drafts of emails and landing pages

Headline and subject line variations

Turning one long piece into social posts and ads

Keyword clustering, meta descriptions and schema

Summaries of call transcripts and reviews

Competitor audits

Cleaning up campaign data

Staying with you

It needs a person (or shouldn't be used at all) for:

Brand positioning

Thought leadership with a real point of view

Legal, medical and financial copy

A crisis or a layoff announcement

Client relationships

Anything that carries your name

Give AI the work that drains you. Keep the work that defines you.

What it looks like in practice

900,000

specimen records for a biotech company, pulled from scattered sources, tagged with AI, checked against the originals and turned into one database the team can search by 20 attributes.

20,000

pages audited for SEO with Claude and Semrush, boiled down from a spreadsheet nobody would read into a fix list ranked by impact and effort.

10

competitors compared in one gap analysis, then turned into a content calendar aimed at the search share worth taking.

Questions we hear a lot

Is AI going to take my job?

It will take the parts of your job that never needed you: first drafts, data cleanup, summaries. Knowing what good looks like, deciding what to say and to whom, and keeping client trust stay with people. Marketers who use AI well will replace the ones who don't.

Does Google penalize AI content?

Google doesn't ban it. Its October 2026 guidance rewards effort, originality, real expertise and accuracy, and content made by AI alone almost never clears that bar. We use AI for the groundwork and people for the parts Google is looking for.

Where should we start?

Most companies start with a readiness assessment or a strategy call. Either one tells you what to do first and what to stop doing.

Do you use AI in your own work?

Every day, for the same kinds of tasks we recommend to clients. A person reviews everything before it reaches you.

Capability is cheap now. Judgement is what you're paying for.

Tell us where AI is helping your marketing and where it's making you nervous. We'll tell you what we'd keep, what we'd change and what we'd stop.
